Octoknight

An illustration which originally came out of a run of illustrations that I created for Mermay, a month long drawing competition. The horse is inspired by the kelpie or water-horse (each uisge). The descriptions often say that the water horse has a large bill which I interpreted generously here as a beak like that of a bird. This, in my opinion, makes for a fiercer looking creature and a more dynamic illustration.
